Answers

  1. How do I download a version of MS Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator that supports 128-bit encryption technology?

    Choose which browser you wish to download
    Click either
    Download Netscape Communicator or Download Microsoft Internet Explorer
  • If you've clicked on "Download Netscape Communicator"
    Scroll down to "Full Download of Unix, International, & 128-bit" and click on choose from our directory
    Download the 128-BIT STRONG ENCRYPTION VERSION of either Netscape Communicator or Netscape Navigator for your operating system
    Fill out any encryption eligibility forms and accept an eligibility declaration (as requested by the U.S. Government)
    Download the software
    When the download is finished, click Open
    Follow the on-screen instructions
  • If you've clicked on "Download Microsoft Internet Explorer"
    Click on the Download Now button
    Download the setup file
    Open the setup file
    Follow the on-screen instructions

  1. How can I set display properties to the optimal resolution?

Change your display settings:
Click on the Start button
Click on Settings
Click on Control Panel
Double-Click on Display
Click on the Settings tab
In the Desktop Area, click and hold on the tab between Less and More and move it to the right or left until it says 1024 by 768 pixels
Click on Apply
You may need to restart your computer for the new settings to take effect.

  1. What if the text, when printed, is too wide for the page?

    Change the paper orientation setting
    Click on File
    Click on Page Setup
    Change orientation to Landscape
    Click on OK

  1. What if my password is not working?

  1. Why doesn't the e-mail work when I click on an address?

If your e-mail program is not connected to the browser and your e-mail program is closed while you browse the web, you will not be able to send e-mail by clicking on the addresses on the Web site.  Please refer to your browser documentation to connect your e-mail program. 

  1. Where can I get a program to be able to view Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files?

You can get Adobe Acrobat Reader here.
